SOCIAL ACTION IN TORBAY

A Heartfelt Thanks From Torbay!

 A fantastic result was achieved at the SW Conservative Conference by delegates getting active and involved in social action.

 Over £2000 was raised in clothing value for Torbay's Rowcroft Hospice. 

 Delegates made every effort to contribute old clothing from across the South West and astounded Torbay with their commitment such as:

- one delegate left their clothing contribution at home in Exeter and subsequently gave a colleague a key to their house to visit their home and bring it down with them the next morning

- it was raining and one elderly delegate parked far away from the venue and forgot to bring it indoors and was hoping to hand it in at the end of the day but braved the rain so as to get their clothes in on time to be valued

- another delegate contributed a suit of such high quality it was worth £65 in the Hospice's boutique shop and there were other delegates hovering around trying to buy it cheap!

The South West Conservatives have added real value to being together in one place and contributing to such a good cause.
